Akeera Bengal is located 40 minutes north of Toronto - in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.
We were first introduced to these lovely companions by our friends, Sheila and Brian Love. We immediately fell in love with these inquisitive, playful critters and decided to open our home to them. I like to think that they have the best qualities from both cats and dogs. They are loyal, very smart, affectionate, silly... the list is endless. Where can you find a cat that you can take out for walks/runs - or that likes to jump in the shower with you?
This breed originated from the cross-breeding of the wild Asian Leopard and a domestic cat. The coats of these beautiful animals are uniquely patterned and are so soft. Their fur actually glitters a beautiful gold.
We share our home with our furry companions and breed in a cageless environment for well socialized kittens.
We would like to thank Sheila and Brian Love
of Azana Bengals for introducing us to this wonderful breed;
Heather Hill of I.C. Spots Bengals for her help and knowledge;
as well as Rebecca Heslop of Zallycatz for her continuous support
- who is always there to answer all my zany questions. A big
thank you to Dr. Jory Bocknek of Abbotsford Animal Hospital
for all his help in making sure we continue to have healthy
and happy companions; and to Dorothy Puddester of Hooves and
Paws Photography for capturing the beauty in our friends.
A huge thank you to Cynthia Bonar for helping create this beautiful
site! Without all their help, we couldn't be here.
